The Pennsylvania Chapter of the Society of Critical Care Medicine (PASCCM) and the Susquehanna Valley Chapter of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (SVAACN) will hold the 30th Annual Challenges in Critical Care: A Multidisciplinary Approach conference on Friday, August 14, 2026, at the Hotel Hershey, Hershey, PA. We invite you to submit an abstract to be a
presenter at the conference. Members and non-members are encouraged to submit. You may submit more than one abstract.
The abstract submission deadline is March 6, 2026. Chosen presenters will be notified by April 14, 2026. Submit abstracts to Dawn Gesford at dgesford@pennstatehealth.psu.edu and copy to Barb Birriel at bab44@psu.edu. Presenters will receive complimentary registration to the conference.
Presenter Abstract Guidelines
Topics should feature the latest advances and research about practice, technology and healthcare delivery in critical care practice, professional development, current issues or emerging trends. Sessions are 50 minutes, with an additional 10 minutes for questions. Abstracts should be double spaced and 12 font. All abstracts must contain the following components. Abstracts that do not include all information will not be reviewed.
Presentation Title:
Speaker(s): Include name, credentials, critical care background, prior speaking experience
Session Description (300 words or less): A brief description of the content to be presented and why it is clinically relevant.
Learning Objectives: Provide two or three outcomes that complete the statement: "By the end of this session the participant will be able to".
